①“It’s a really hard thing to do and it’s a tremendous luxury that BuzzFeed doesn’t have a legacy business,” Peretti remarked. ②“But we’re going to have questions like that where we have things we’re doing that don’t make sense when the market changes and the world changes. ③In those situations, it’s better to be more aggressive than less aggressive.”

①“It’s a really hard thing to doand it’s a tremendous luxury that BuzzFeed doesn’t have a legacy business,”Peretti remarked.

① “It’s a really hard thing to do

tremendous adj.

luxury n.

② it’s a tremendous luxury that BuzzFeed doesn’t have a legacy business

这是个强调句,但是,有点特殊,这里强调的是宾语,而这里have的宾语是a legacy business,而它就等于a tremendous luxury。

一般的强调句是这样的:it’s a tremendous luxury that BuzzFeed doesn’t have,这样就是强调宾语。

②“But we’re going to have questions like that where we have things we’re doing that don’t make sense when the market changes and the world changes.

主句部分:we are going to have questions like that即:我们会有那样的问题的。

like that是介词短语修饰questions

where we have things (that)we’re doing that don’t make sensewhen the market changes and the world changes.

we are doing部分是省略that的定语从句,修饰things

that don’t make sense这部分也是定语从句,修饰things,这里是:“多重定语从句”

when部分是时间状语从句:when the market changes and the world changes.

③In those situations, it’s better to be more aggressive than less aggressive.”

aggressive adj.
