一 介词用法
介词本身不能独立充当句子成分，必须与后面的宾语构成介词短语。介词短语可以做状语、定语、表语和补语。
1.作状语
He arrives at six o’clock. （时间状语） She is studying in the library.（地点状语）
We traveled by train.（方式状语）
He succeeded because of his hard work.(原因状语）
2.做表语
My books are on the desk. My father was at work.
3.做定语
介词短语可以修饰名词或代词，放在被修饰词之后。
The boy in red is my cousin. The bird in the tree is singing now.
4.做补语
I found the cat behind the door.
