上周有同学跟我说,考官一开口问"What were your favourite activities as a child?",她脑子里冒出来的第一个词是……"玩泥巴"。
然后她就卡住了。
不是因为不会说,是因为从来没想过要用英文聊这些。
今天这套 2026.03.16 的真题,话题是童年活动——看着简单,答不好的人多得很。4道题,model answers 全给你准备好了,往下看。
4月一直在延续,再次回顾一下!
Q1. What were your favourite activities when you were a child?
I loved reading. I'd spend hours going through story books or comics — I wasn't very sporty as a kid. I also really enjoyed drawing and making up little stories, which probably explains why I ended up working with language later on. And of course, watching cartoons was basically a religion for my whole generation.
Q2. Did you prefer to do activities alone or with a group of people when you were a child?
It depended on the activity, really. For things like reading or drawing, I much preferred being on my own — I liked having that quiet space. But for outdoor games, it was way more fun with other kids around. I'd say I was somewhere in the middle — not a total introvert, but definitely not someone who needed to be surrounded by people all the time.
Q3. Did you spend more time indoors or outdoors when you were young?
Mostly indoors, if I'm being honest. I grew up in a pretty urban environment, so there wasn't a huge amount of green space just outside the door. After school I'd usually be at home doing homework or watching TV. That said, summers were different — we'd be outside a lot more, running around with the neighbourhood kids until it got dark.
Q4. Is your life very different now compared to when you were a child?
Enormously different, I'd say. The obvious things are the responsibilities — back then my biggest worry was finishing homework before dinner. Now there's work, deadlines, and about a hundred things on my to-do list at any given time. But in some ways I've stayed the same — I still love reading, I still get genuinely excited about learning new things. I think the core of who you are doesn't really change that much.
