Do you know BRICS? It’s a group of countries. It started in 2006.
你了解金砖国家吗？它是一个国家合作组织，成立于2006年。
At first, it was called “BRIC” and had four countries: Brazil, Russia, India and China. It sounds like “brick”, so it has that name in Chinese.In 2011, South Africa joined and gave the letter “S” to the name.
最初它叫作“BRIC”，包含四个国家：巴西、俄罗斯、印度、中国。单词读音和英文brick（砖块）相近，中文由此得名“金砖”。2011 年，南非加入，名称增加字母“S”。
Later, more countries joined the big family. Now, it has 11 members and 10 partner countries. We call it the “greater BRICS”. These countries team up like friends to help each other grow.
之后更多国家加入这个大家庭。如今，金砖有11个成员国与10个伙伴国，我们称之为“大金砖”。这些国家像朋友一样团结协作，互相助力共同发展。
Each year, a different BRICS country holds the chair. India is the BRICS chair for 2026. China will take over in 2027.
每年由不同金砖国家担任轮值主席国。2026年轮值主席是印度，2027年将由中国接任。
