A moving video became popular online in December 2025. An ambulance was rushing a patient from Feicheng to Jinan, Shandong Province. When it came to a busy and crowded road, something amazing happened. Many private car drivers gave way in a “textbook-style” way. Some cars moved aside quickly, while others slowed down to make enough space. Thanks to their efforts, the ambulance passed through smoothly and saved valuable time for the patient.

In June in Wuhan, Hubei Province, a taxi driver stopped politely to let pedestrians cross the street. To show his thanks, a soldier walked up to the driver. These warm acts show that civilized driving has gradually become a common habit for more and more drivers.

Actually, these changes come from the efforts of the whole society. More people know and follow traffic rules. Smart traffic systems also make our trips easier and smoother. Traffic police educate drivers in friendly ways to improve road safety. Besides, China holds “National Traffic Safety Day” on December 2nd every year, with the theme “Civilized Traffic, Polite Travel”.
