Dillon is now an 11-year-old boy in England. One day in November 2021, he woke up in great pain and his right leg was swollen(肿胀的).In fact, his leg hurt so much that he couldn't even wear socks or trousers. For more than a year, he spent the night screaming(尖叫) in pain, even asking his family to have his leg cut off.

He went through test after test, but no doctor could find out what was making his leg so painful. Finally, they discovered Dillon had a rare condition(罕见疾病)called Complex Regional Pain SyndromeCRPS,复杂性区域疼痛综合征),one of the most painful illnesses in the world.Melanie, Dillon's mother, began searching for treatment for Dillon's illness. But she quickly discovered there weren't many choices in the UK.

That's when Melanie discovered a new machine called the VECTTOR machine for treating pain like Dillon's.The only trouble was that the machines were only available in Houston, Texas. Melanie couldn't book the plane tickets any faster. Before long, Dillon met with pain management experts and tried the VECTTOR machine in Houston. The results were great. After just one session(疗程)Dillon's pain eased and he was able to put a little weight on his leg. He felt better and could even put on socks, trousers, and shoes for the first time in a year.

Melanie bought a VECTTOR machine for$5,333 and brought it back home to England. Dillon now uses it for 40 minutes every day, twice a day.Dillon's whole family is healing(恢复常态)after their year-long trouble. They're hopeful that his condition continues to lessen with time. For now, they're celebrating the moments they very nearly missed out on experiencing, like Dillon's first day of high school!

根据第一段中的“One day in November 2021, he woke up in great pain and his right leg was swollen. In fact, his leg hurt so much that he couldn't even wear socks or trousers.”
根据第二段第一句“He went through test after test.but no doctor could find out what was making his leg so painful."
根据画线句上一句“The only trouble was that the machines were only available in Houston. Texas.” Dillon met with pain management experts and tried the VECTTOR machine in Houston.”
根据第四段最后一句“For now, they're celebrating the moments they very nearly missed out on experiencing. like Dillon's first day of high school!”
通读全文可知,一种名叫VECTTOR的治疗机器最终帮助 Dillon“重获新生”;再根据文章最后一段中的“It's great what they can do with technology today.”
