谁懂啊😭 中考英语阅读理解明明每个单词都认识,连起来却直接懵圈——“It’s raining cats and dogs” 难道是“下猫和狗”?“Break a leg” 居然不是“打断腿”?
A neighbour,Julie Brown, saw it all happen. "The dog went onto an icy lake. All of a sudden,it started to go under. There were crowds of people around, and they were all shouting and screaming. Before I knew it, the owner (Smith)was in the water forcing his way through the ice. I can't begin to imagine how cold it was. Everyone was very nervous, but he was as cool as a cucumber - he just crawled back out, put the dog on its lead, and went home.
The underlined phrase "as cool as a cucumber" in Paragraph 3 means“”.
A. relaxed B. proud C. shy D. brave
Everyone was very nervous, but he was as cool as a cucumber - he just crawled back out, put the dog on its lead, and went home.“每个人都很紧张,但也很......--他刚爬了出来,把狗牵上,然后回家了。”but表示转折,前面出现“nervous”,结合选项,应该说他很从容,所以“as cool as a cucumber”的意思应该是“放松,冷静,从容”,故答案选A.
“as cool as a cucumber”逐词分析
as...as:介词,意为“和……
She was as cool as a cucumber before the big test.
Not everyone can keep as cool as a cucumber in an emergency.
