Rural(乡村的) teacher Cheng Feng has been working to provide the best education for students in a community of Poyang, Jiangxi Province.

After1 from college in 2011,Cheng became a teacher at Tutang Primary School in Poyang. It was near her home,2 she chose to live in the school.

“I wanted to have more time with my3 during the day. And I could better4 class and study at night,"Cheng said. Over the following four years, she did really well at her job.

Yet, in 2015, she found out Beitang Primary School was going to be5 because it was short of teachers. She decided to work there. Although she prepared herself, she was still6 when seeing the “new”school. There was really nothing in place,7 a building.

She took the registration(登记) form and8 for a whole day in the classroom,but not a single parent or child showed up. She wasted no time and9 the following days visiting the homes of all the school-age children in the area. She learned because of the poor educational conditions,local parents had sent their children to10 further away.

Cheng persuaded(说服) 17 students to return. She called upon her college classmates to give a(n) 11 .Soon three volunteers arrived to join Cheng.12 the difficult start, Cheng's parents helped with the cleaning.Her husband helped with equipment installation(设备安装).Cheng also bought equipment like computers for the school with her own money in order to give students a13 learning experience.

Those efforts finally paid off. About 120 students are now sitting in the classrooms. As things got back on the14 track(轨道)at Beitang Primary School,Cheng came to Siwanghu Primary School to help children there get a good education.“We should let the15 in ourselves shine on more people. We should help them to see further and dream bigger,"she said.

乡村教师程风一直在努力为江西省鄱阳县一个社区的学生提供最好的教育。2011年程风大学毕业后，成为鄱阳县土塘小学的一名教师。学校就在她家附近，但她选择住在学校里。

程风说：“我想在白天有更多时间和学生待在一起，而且晚上我可以更好地备课和学习。”在接下来的四年里，她的工作干得非常好。

然而，在2015年，她发现北塘小学由于缺乏师资而濒临关闭。她决定去那里工作。虽然她做好了准备，但当看到“新”学校时，她还是感到震惊。北塘小学真的是什么都没有，只有一栋楼。

她拿着登记表在教室里等了一整天，但没有一位家长或孩子出现。她没有浪费时间，在接下来的几天里，她走访了该地区所有学龄儿童的家。她了解到，由于教育条件差，当地的家长都把孩子送到了更远的学校。

程风劝说17名学生返回。她号召大学同学们来帮忙，很快，三名志愿者加入了程风的行列。在困难的初始阶段，程风的父母帮助打扫卫生，她的丈夫帮助安装设备。为了给学生们提供更好的学习体验，程风还自费为学校购买了电脑等设备。

她的努力终于得到了回报，现在大概有120名学生坐在教室里。随着北塘小学步入正轨，程风来到四望湖小学，帮助那里的孩子们获得好的教育。她说：“我们应该让自己身上的光芒照耀更多的人。我们应该帮助他们看得更远，梦想更大。”

程风是一名乡村教师，她默默耕耘在鄱阳湖畔，哪里需要就在哪里扎根。2015年，听说北塘小学由于缺乏师资而濒临关闭后，她毅然决然地选择去那里工作。北塘小学一切回到正轨之后，她又去了四望湖小学，继续用爱照亮着乡村孩子的未来。
