中考英语之时间状语从句

时间状语从句是指在复合句中充当时间状语的从句，用来表示主句动作发生的时间。

结构公式：引导词 + 从句 + 主句（或主句 + 引导词 + 从句）

例子：

When he arrived, I was cooking. (当他到达时，我正在做饭。)

I will call you as soon as I get home. (我一到家就给你打电话。)

核心特征：时间状语从句可以放在主句之前（常用逗号隔开）或主句之后（不用逗号）。

引导词

when当……时最常用，主句和从句动作可同时或先后发生

I was sleeping when he came.

while在……期间强调两个动作同时进行，从句动词用延续性动词

While I was reading, she sang.

as一边……一边……强调两个动作同步发生She sang as she walked.

before在……之前表示主句动作发生在从句动作之前

Before you go, say goodbye.

after在……之后表示主句动作发生在从句动作之后

I went home after school ended.

until/till直到……表示动作持续到某个时间点

I waited until he came.

since自从……表示从过去某个时间点开始，主句常用现在完成时

I have lived here since I was born.

as soon as一……就……表示两个动作几乎同时发生

As soon as he arrived, he called me.

whenever每当表示习惯性或重复性的动作Whenever I see her, she smiles.

考点1：when / while / as 的区别

when可表示时间点或时间段短暂性/延续性动词均可

When I arrived, he was eating.

while强调时间段，两个动作同时进行只能用延续性动词

While I was sleeping, he came in.

as强调两个动作同步变化或伴随延续性动词She sang as she walked.

对比示例：

When the teacher came in, the students stopped talking. (came in 是短暂性动词，不能用 while)

While I was watching TV, the phone rang. (was watching 是延续性动词，强调同时发生)

考点2：until 与 not...until

延续性动词 + until动作一直持续到……为止

I waited until he came. (我一直等到他来)

not + 短暂性动词 + until直到……才……

I didn't leave until he came. (直到他来我才离开)

倒装句：Not until 放在句首时，主句要部分倒装。

Not until he came did I leave. (直到他来我才离开。)

考点3：as soon as 的用法

as soon as 表示“一……就……”，遵循主将从现原则。

I will call you as soon as I arrive home. (我一到家就给你打电话。)

As soon as he arrived, he called me. (他一到就给我打了电话。)

同义表达：immediately, directly, the moment, no sooner...than, hardly...when

考点4：since 的用法

since 表示“自从……”，主句常用现在完成时，从句用一般过去时。

I have lived here since I was born. (我自出生起就住在这里。)

It has been three years since we met. (自从我们见面已经三年了。)

句型转换：It is + 时间段 + since + 一般过去时从句

考点5：before 与 after 的用法

before在……之前主句动作发生在从句动作之后

after在……之后主句动作发生在从句动作之前

Before he came, I had finished my homework. (他来之前，我已经完成了作业。)

After he came, I finished my homework. (他来之后，我完成了作业。)
