关于个人回答部分
Part B Individual Response
1. Are people nowadays more unhappy?
I think many people nowadays feel more stressed and unhappy compared to the past. Life has become busier and people have less time to relax or spend with family. Social media also makes people compare their lives with others, which can make them feel worse. Although we have more money and better technology, we sometimes forget what truly matters. I believe we need to slow down and focus more on relationships and mental health.
2. What things you bought that makes you happy?
One thing I bought that made me very happy was a pair of wireless headphones. I use them every day when I study, exercise, or travel on the MTR. They help me focus on my work and also enjoy music without disturbing others. It was not a very expensive item, but it has improved my daily life a lot. I think the best things to buy are those that we use often and bring real convenience.
3. Can weather affect your mood?
Yes, I think weather can definitely affect my mood. On sunny days, I feel more energetic and happy to go outside or meet friends. When it rains for many days, I sometimes feel a bit down or lazy. However, I try not to let the weather control my feelings too much. I remind myself that I can still do fun indoor activities like reading or watching movies. So, weather has an effect, but we can choose how to respond to it.
4. Do you think people nowadays are generally happier than in the past?
I don't think people nowadays are generally happier than in the past. Although we have more technology and convenience, life has also become more stressful. People work longer hours and have less time to relax with family. In the past, life was simpler and people spent more time together. Also, social media today makes many people feel anxious or left out. So, I believe happiness depends more on how we live than on what we have.
5. Which stage in your life do you think is the happiest?
I think childhood was the happiest stage in my life so far. When I was young, I had no worries about exams, work, or money. I spent most of my time playing with friends and exploring new things. Everything felt simple and exciting, and I was happy with small things like ice cream or a day at the park. Although I enjoy being older and having more freedom, childhood memories always make me smile.
6. What people can do to gain happiness in daily life?
People can gain happiness in daily life by doing small things that bring them joy. For example, spending time with family or friends, even just having a meal together, can make us feel connected. Doing exercise like jogging or yoga helps release stress and makes us feel good. Also, taking time to enjoy a hobby like reading, drawing, or playing music can bring peace and satisfaction. Most importantly, learning to appreciate what we already have helps us feel happier every day.
7. What makes you happier, going shopping or doing sports?
Doing sports makes me happier than going shopping. When I exercise, I feel more energetic and my mind becomes clearer. Sports like jogging or playing badminton help me release stress and forget about my worries. Shopping might give me a short moment of excitement, but it doesn't last long. In contrast, the happiness from sports makes me feel good both physically and mentally. So, I prefer to stay active when I want to feel truly happy.
8. In what stage of life are people the happiest?
I think different people may be happiest at different stages of life. Some people enjoy childhood because they have no responsibilities. Others find happiness in their twenties when they gain independence and explore the world. For many, retirement can be a happy time because they have more free time to spend with family and hobbies. I believe happiness is not about a specific age, but about having good relationships and a sense of purpose. So, any stage can be happy if we live it well.
