一、中考阅读理解原文
China’s Climate
China has a clear continental monsoon (季风) climate with many different kinds. Cold winds from the north blow in winter, while warm winds from the south blow in summer. The four seasons are quite different, and the rainy season comes with the hot season.
From September to April, cold and dry winds from Siberia and Mongolia make winters cold and dry, with big temperature differences. The cold summer winds last from April to September.
The warm and wet summer winds from the sea bring plenty of rain and high temperatures, with little temperature difference between the south and the north. China’s different climates create many temperature belts and dry or wet areas.
By temperature, China can be divided from south to north into equatorial (赤道的), tropical (热带的), sub-tropical, warm-temperate, temperate, and cold-temperate zones. By moisture (湿度), it can be divided from southeast to northwest into humid (潮湿的), semi-humid, semi-arid (半干旱的), and arid (干旱的) zones.
