China's Village Basketball Competition, also known as“CunBA",took place in early June in Taipan village, which lies in Taijiang county of Guizhou province. The game has spread rapidly on the internet in a short period of time.
It draws people's attention not only with the 1 (excite) matches but also with the basketball playground surrounded(包围) by farmland.Local people 2 (dress) in traditional clothes and they cheer for the players 3 knocking on iron pots and bowls as well as performing folk songs and dances as half-time shows.“This is the 4 (beautiful) of basketball itself.It allows people to enjoy the sports as well as 5 (spread) local customs and traditions,”wrote a netizen(网民).
Yao Ming, chairman of the Chinese Basketball Association, said in an interview that“CunBA" can become 6 (wide) known because it is not simply a basketball game, but a great event bringing all neighboring villagers together 7 (enjoy) the fun.He would like to attend the event if possible and experience the warm atmosphere(气氛）there with villagers. He hopes the game will get 8 (good) and help with the development of basketball in China.
Thanks to “CunBA", many local young people 9used to work in big cities have returned to their hometowns to look for better jobs.“Everything is on 10 rise here. I'm so glad that the event is now helping the development of the village,”said a local villager.
中国乡村篮球比赛，又称“村BA”，于6月初在贵州省台江县台盘村举行。比赛在短时间内迅速在互联网上传播开来。

多亏了“村BA”，很多过去在大城市工作的当地青年已经回到家乡寻找更好的工作。一位当地村民说：“这里的一切都在变好。我很高兴这个活动现在能帮助村里发展。”
贵州省台盘村的“村BA”引起了众多关注。场上赛况激烈，场外热情高涨。中国篮协主席姚明曾对这项赛事给予高度评价，并且表示如果有可能，自己愿意到现场和村民一起享受热烈的气氛。
