　　The pie chart clearly shows the proportion of residents’ spending during the Spring Festival holiday in a city of China.

　　As can be seen from the chart, spending on New Year gifts accounts for 40%, which is the largest share. Expenses for dinners and parties, transportation and other items each take up 20% respectively.

　　This phenomenon reflects our traditional customs. For Chinese people, Spring Festival is a vital occasion to visit relatives and friends. Giving gifts is a way to express best wishes. Meanwhile, people also spend money on dinners and trips to enjoy the holiday.

　　From my perspective, while celebrating the festival, we should keep rational consumption and avoid unnecessary waste.
