第一道
Some people think that extreme sports that are dangerous, such as skydiving and rock-climbing, should be banned. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Agree or Disagree
Should be banned
Strongly Disagree:
Individual Freedom VS Public Safety

Should Extreme Sports Be Banned?
Extreme sports, such as skydiving and rock climbing, are often associated with serious physical risks. Consequently, some people argue that these activities should be prohibited. I strongly disagree with this view because individuals should have the freedom to participate in challenging activities, provided that appropriate safety measures are in place.
One reason why extreme sports should remain legal is that adults have the right to make informed decisions about their recreational activities. Many people participate in these sports not simply for excitement but also to challenge themselves physically and mentally. For example, rock climbing requires considerable strength, concentration and problem-solving skills. Successfully completing a difficult climb can help individuals develop confidence and resilience. Banning such activities would therefore prevent people from enjoying experiences that may contribute positively to their personal development.
Another important consideration is that safety regulations are generally more appropriate than outright prohibition. Although extreme sports involve risks, many of these can be reduced through professional training, suitable equipment and proper supervision. For instance, skydiving centres can require beginners to complete safety instruction and jump with qualified instructors. Similarly, climbing facilities can enforce equipment checks and provide experienced staff to supervise participants. These measures allow individuals to enjoy challenging activities while reducing the likelihood of preventable accidents.
Admittedly, certain extreme sports can result in serious injuries, particularly when participants underestimate the dangers involved. However, this does not necessarily justify banning them altogether. Instead, authorities should establish clear safety standards and ensure that operators comply with them.
In conclusion, I believe extreme sports should not be banned simply because they involve danger. A more reasonable approach is to respect individual freedom while introducing effective regulations to protect participants.

Ban VS Regulate
Should something be banned?
Problem exists ≠ A complete ban is necessary.
例如:
Extreme Sports:
Risk → Safety Training → Reduced Accidents
Mobile Phones:
Distraction → Usage Restrictions → Better Public Environment
Social Media:
Potential Harm → Age-appropriate Regulation → Safer Usage
In many countries, a small number of people earn extremely high salaries. Some people believe that this is good for the country, but others think that governments should not allow salaries above a certain level. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Discuss Both Views and Give Your Opinion
High salaries are not necessarily harmful, but excessive income inequality requires government attention.

High Salaries and Government Regulation
In many countries, a small proportion of the population earns exceptionally high salaries. While some argue that these earnings benefit the national economy, others believe that governments should impose limits on individual salaries. Although I understand the concerns surrounding income inequality, I believe that strict salary caps would do more harm than good.
Those who support salary restrictions argue that extremely high incomes contribute to economic inequality. When a small group of individuals earns significantly more than the average worker, the gap between the wealthy and the rest of society may widen. This can create social tension, particularly when essential workers struggle to afford housing, healthcare and other basic necessities. Supporters of salary caps therefore believe that limiting excessive earnings could promote a fairer distribution of wealth.
However, I would argue that high salaries can provide important economic benefits. Competitive compensation encourages talented individuals to pursue demanding careers and rewards those who make significant contributions to their industries. For example, highly skilled engineers and researchers may be motivated to develop innovative technologies when their expertise is appropriately rewarded. Imposing strict salary limits could weaken these incentives and make it more difficult for businesses to attract exceptional employees. Furthermore, high earners can contribute substantial tax revenue, which governments can use to improve public services.
In my view, progressive taxation is a more effective solution than imposing salary caps. By requiring higher earners to contribute a larger proportion of their income, governments can address inequality without removing the financial incentives that encourage productivity and innovation.
In conclusion, although excessive income inequality is a legitimate concern, limiting salaries is unlikely to be the best response. Governments should instead use taxation and public investment to distribute economic benefits more fairly.

Economic Incentives VS Social Equality
High Salaries → Motivation → Innovation → Economic Growth
Income Inequality → Wealth Gap → Social Tension
Progressive Taxation → Public Revenue → Better Public Services
Should governments increase taxes on wealthy people?
Is income inequality a serious social problem?
Should governments spend more money on public services?
Should successful professionals earn significantly more than ordinary workers?
