解题思路：先拆句，再动笔

In the minds of Chinese people, teachers not only impart knowledge but also instruct students to be decent human beings. In ancient times, students held significant ceremonies when meeting their teachers for the first time, which fully demonstrated the high status of teachers. To promote the fine tradition of respecting teachers, China designated September 10th as Teachers' Day in 1985. On this day, students express their respect and gratitude to their teachers in various ways.
