🏀 Who Will Join the Basketball Team?

Next week, Sunshine Middle School will choose new players for the school basketball team. Basketball is the most popular sport in the school, so more than fiftystudents want to join.

Wang Lin is one of the best players in his class. He is taller than most of his classmates — he is 1.78 metres tall! He runs faster than the other boys, and he plays basketball better than anyone else in Grade 7.

His best friend Zhang Tao also wants to join. Zhang Tao is shorterthan Wang Lin, but many people think he is more helpful and friendlier. "Team spirit is more important than height," says Coach Liu. "A busier player is not always a better player."

Zhang Tao's studies are as good as Wang Lin's. They are both hard-working students. However, Zhang Tao is worried. "Wang Lin is as tall as my PE teacher! I'm not as strong as him," he says. "Maybe I should try another club."
