We all know Christmas, but the true meaning ofChristmas is the importance of sharing and giving loveand joy to people around us. The story in A ChristmasCarol is perhaps the best example of this.
The story was written by Charles Dickens. It's about an old man named Scrooge who is mean and thinksabout himself. He doesn't treat others nicely. Heonly cares about if he can make more money. One Christmas eve, the ghost of his old friend, Jacob Marley, told him to change his way. Or he would be punished after he died.He also tells Scrooge to expect three spirits to visit him.
Scrooge sees his past,present andfuture. He is very scared and decides to changebetter person. He now treats everyonewarmth,spreading love and joy everywhere he goes. Andthat's the true spirit of Christmas.
Life is full of difficulties and the best way to fight against them is to stick to them. But we can't always gothrough these problems ourselves, so we need to gainencouragement from others.
Once I made a speech in front of the students fromdifferent schools. I tried hard to say out every wordclearly and correctly. Unfortunately,Iwas so nervousthat I forgot one part of my speech. I felt disappointedand almost wanted to give up. "You are great. " Someone shouted. Others then started to cheer me up. I suddenly became powerful and completed the speech perfectly.
From that time,Ihave realized that we do need encouragement from teachers,parents or even strangers,because it will give us much power to achieve ourdreams.
