There is a corner beside the bookshelf in our classroom. It is narrow and ignored, but to me it feels like a warm lamp.
Last term, after I failed an important test, I hid there with my paper in my hands. I was ashamed to face anyone. Soon a classmate sat beside me. She said little but handed me warm water and gave me a note: mistakes show where we can grow. Then she marked my careless errors and explained them one by one. Her calm company made the corner warm‑bright and gave me courage.
Since then, when I see anyone sitting there silently, I stop to ask softly and offer the help I once received instead of simply walking away.
