写✍️在开头：中考单选、完形、书面表达高频坑：三个词都翻译为“虽然、尽管”，很多同学凭中文意思随便选，频频丢分。
核心分水岭：看后面接句子，还是接名词/短语。
一、核心表格

二、逐词讲解+例句
1. although 连词，虽然；尽管
只能接完整句子，书面语气较正式，中考作文推荐用，不放在句尾。
例：Although it rained, we still went hiking.
虽然下雨了，但我们还是去远足了。
2. though 连词，虽然；尽管
✅接完整句子。
两个特殊用法：
①放句首=although；
②放句子末尾，用逗号隔开，意思是“不过，然而”，这是中考很爱考的点。
例1：Though he is young, he knows a lot.
虽然年纪不大，他懂得很多。
例2：He said he would come. He didn’t, though.
他说他会来，不过他没来。（though放句末，不能用although替换）
3. despite 介词，尽管
⚠️后面不能直接写句子！后面接名词、名词短语、doing形式
如果一定要接句子：要用 despite the fact that + 句子（初中了解即可）
例1：Despite the bad weather, we kept working.
尽管天气恶劣，我们继续工作。（the bad weather 名词短语）
例2：Despite being tired, she kept on studying.
尽管很累，她继续学习。（being tired 动名词短语）
❌错误：Despite it was late, he worked on.
✅正确：Although/Though it was late, he worked on.

despite是个介词词，后面名词doing跟。
