8月8日这道 Task 1 公布之后，不少同学可能都会觉得：这题是不是有点简单？
两个年龄组，五年数据，没有特别复杂的变化，甚至连折线图里的波动都没有。但其实这类题我反而觉得挺有代表性。
因为数据越简单，越考验考生有没有真正理解图表。复杂图表里，很多人还能靠“描述数据”撑一撑；但这种表格，如果只是把数字换句话说，问题会非常明显。
这也是为什么我批改 Task 1 时，经常发现一些 6 分左右的作文，语言并不差，但分数就是上不去——不是不会写，而是没有把数据之间的关系写出来。

"The table shows the two age groups participating in the marathon from 2008 to 2012. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant."

一、为什么这种表格题容易丢分？
很多同学看到这种表格，会觉得“数字都在那里，写出来就行”。
常见数据搬运误区
"The number of participants increased from 2,000 in 2008 to 2,800 in 2012."
诊断分析： 这句话没有错，但如果整篇文章都停留在这个层面，就变成了简单的数据搬运。Task 1 真正需要的是从数据中找到规律。
这道题至少有两个信息值得抓出来：
• 第一： 总参赛人数在整个阶段持续增加，没有出现下降。
• 第二： 两个年龄组虽然都增长，但 18–39 岁组始终占据更大的比例，而且它的增长幅度更加明显。
很多同学的问题就在这里：他们能够看到“增长”，但没有进一步比较“谁增长得更多”。
二、这道题应该怎么组织？
这种简单表格其实不需要复杂结构，比较稳妥的写法：

说明表格内容：两个年龄组、2008至2012年、马拉松参赛人数变化。（注意：不要加入自己的分析。）
【Overview】抓两个核心趋势
总人数持续上升；年轻组人数始终更多，并且增长更快。Overall, marathon participation increased steadily during the period. Although both age groups experienced growth, participants aged 18–39 consistently represented the larger group, with the difference between the two groups becoming slightly wider by 2012.
【主体段】按年龄组展开
• Body 1 (18–39岁): 2008年1200人作为起点，之后逐年增长，到2012年达到1750人。• Body 2 (40岁以上): 同样呈上涨趋势，但整体规模较小，最终达到1050人。最后补充总人数变化，形成完整闭环。
三、一个容易被忽略的比较
这道题还有一个很多同学不会写的小细节：
18–39岁：1,200 → 1,750，增加 550 人 40岁以上：800 → 1,050，增加 250 人
两个群体都增长了，但增长速度明显不同。这类信息不一定必须写复杂的数字计算，但需要体现出来：
"The younger age group saw a much larger increase than the older group over the period."
就这一句话，就比单纯描述两个趋势更有分析感。
四、参考范文（Band 7+）
"The table illustrates the number of marathon participants in two age groups, namely those aged 18–39 and those aged 40 and above, between 2008 and 2012. It also provides information about the total number of participants."
"Overall, the number of marathon runners increased steadily throughout the period. Both age groups experienced growth, although the 18–39 age group remained the larger group and showed a more significant increase compared with participants aged 40 and over."

五、几个可以直接积累的表达
【描述趋势】
• increased steadily throughout the period （在整个期间稳定增长）
• experienced continuous growth （经历持续增长）
• climbed gradually to... （逐渐上升至……）
• reached a peak of... （达到峰值）
【描述比较】
• remained the larger group （始终是人数更多的群体）
• showed a more significant increase （增幅更加明显）
• the difference between the two groups widened slightly （两组之间的差距略微扩大）
• a similar trend could be seen among... （……也呈现类似趋势）
写在最后：
这种表格题最大的陷阱，就是让人觉得“没什么可分析”。但事实上，越简单的数据，越容易看出一个考生有没有真正掌握 Task 1。问题不是语言，而是没有完成从“描述数据”到“总结规律”的转换。
