Of all the memorable experiences I have had, the volunteer trip to the nursing home last summer vacation impressed me most.
Last summer holiday, our school held a volunteer activity to visit the elderly. The moment we stepped into the nursing home, we threw ourselves into housework without hesitation. And then we put on brilliant performances for the seniors. Bright warm smiles spread across the elders’ faces, and their eyes sparkled with joy. Before we left, we took a group photo with them as a precious souvenir.
This activity taught me that respecting and caring for the elderly is a precious traditional virtue.
