Zero Waste Makes a Difference

    As life becomes easier, people often throw things away too quickly. Zero waste means using less and being smart about how we use resources. It's important because it helps protect the earth and sets a good example for future generations.

    Here are some ways to start. At home, instead of throwing broken items away, we can learn to repair them — for example, mending clothes or fixing toys. At school, students can organize events to exchange old books, toys, or clothes. Online, sharing ideas about zero waste can also inspire others to help the planet.

    Zero waste isn't just recycling; it's a way of life that shows how much we care about our world. If we all make small changes to our daily lives, we can truly make a difference.

    My name is Li Hua, who is interested in photography. Here I would like to share my picture with you.

    The picture was taken by me in Shenzhen on a sunny morning in April, which shows a beautiful park with colorful flowers and green grass. If you are careful enough, you will also find a few birds jumping in the grass in the picture. How cute they are!

    It is such a nice picture that I chose it for the photographic contest. Actually, it also shows us the harmony between the animals and nature. Taking part in this competition makes me realize the beauty of nature and let us protect our Earth together!

Volunteer Work in Hongxing Community

    Last Sunday I worked in Hongxing Community as a volunteer.

    Before the event began, we gathered at the entrance of Hongxing Park at 9 o’clock. We volunteers were then divided into groups. Some made eco-friendly products. Others gave out reusable water bottles and the bags we made. I went all out to work at the learning stalls, teaching neighbors how to properly recycle and how to reduce trash here in town.

I shared what I know with others through the activity. Sharing is caring.     Wish everyone could care about our community and earth.

    I am pleased to hear from you. I’m also glad you like our school. Firstly, our school plants many trees and flowers every year. Secondly, each of us students is a cleaner. If we see garbage, we will actively pick it up and put it in the bin. Thirdly, to avoid waste, we reuse textbooks. At the same time, we will also use old items to make some reusable items, such as using cans as pen holders. Finally, to save energy, we turn off the tap when brushing our teeth.
