“love is worth a long time”, the main reason driving me to continue studying is love. In one hand, I have been interested in history since junior high school, so I chose the history major after the college entrance examination. I still like the research method of history and the satisfaction brought to me by constant reading and thinking. Therefore, I plan to continue my postgraduate study and stick to my hobby.

In the other hand, I hope to turn my hobby into a career. Three years of postgraduate experience can expand my knowledge、widen my horizon,、train my logic to be clearer and more rigorous, and better understand the process and significance of academic research, so as to get closer to my dream.

In summary, these are the primary reasons why I’ decided to take the postgraduate exams. Thank you.

我从初中开始就喜欢上了历史，因此高考后志愿全部填写历史专业，在大学学习过程中我依然喜欢历史学的研究方式和不断阅读思考带给我的满足感，所以我打算继续攻读研究生，坚持自己的爱好。

What social responsibilities should graduate students undertake?

First of all, we should concentrate on what we are studying and try our best to make some achievements in the field. Students ought to play the primary role in studying, which is also the most important social responsibility for us. So, we are supposed to make reasonable arrangements and spend most of time taking classes, reading books, attending lectures and academic conferences.（这一段推荐记忆，很多问题中可以用上）

Should time allow, I am also considering how to help those people who are in desperate need of knowledge, like volunteering to teach children in remotely mountainous areas. This is a more practical way of realizing the value of knowledge in my view.

At last, I hope to reduce my parents’ burdens in return for their support of my study. I may participate in some spare-time jobs on campus when available.

Can you list some literature databases?

In the process of homework writing during my undergraduate study, I will refer to some literature. The commonly used Chinese databases include CNKI、Wanfang、 VIP、Institution of modern history academia sinica [ækəˈdiːmiə] [siːˈniːkə] 、Literature Data Platform on the Anti-Japanese War and Modern Sino-Japanese Relations；the commonly used English databases include JSTOR, Scopus and SAGE Journals.

我在本科阶段写作业的过程中会参考一些文献,一般常用的中文数据库有知网、万方、维普、中研院近史所档案馆、抗日战争与近代中日关系文献数据平台，常用的英文数据库有JSTOR、ScOpuS 和SAGE Journals。
