[A] Saturday, July 3rd
This is a weekend to remember. My grandparents visited us yesterday. So Mum and Dad took us to go
camping in the Red Woods today. The weekend was interesting but scary.
First, we took a long bus ride to the Red Woods in the morning. The weather was quite sunny and hot. There we put up our tents and made a fire to keep us warm and cook food on. On the first night, we just sat under the moon and my grandparents told us the stories about our hometown and our family. But I was so tired that I fell asleep soon.
The next morning, my mother and I got a terrible surprise. When we looked out of our tent, we saw a
Big bear sleeping near the fire. I was so scared that I couldn’t move. We shouted to Dad to let him know about the danger. My dad woke up and took a look at the bear. He laughed out loud and told us the bear was not a real bear, but just a big toy bear he bought for this year’s Holloween. We all laughed.
[B] In my work I travel a lot and I stay in different hotels, so my perfect weekend is to stay at home with my family and friends. I live in London with my wife. On Friday nights, we often go to a club — we all love dancing.
On Saturdays, we get up late and I make breakfast, that’s important to me. Then I sit at my piano and
Play for a couple of hours. My cat listens. Sometimes in the afternoon we go shopping in Portobello Market. In the evening, we often watch a foreign film. After that I like playing cards with my friends, sometimes until early Sunday morning. We sleep late on Sundays, but then I like cooking Sunday dinner. I really enjoy cooking. In the evening I call my parents. They like hearing about my week.
[C] In my work, I have to go on business in different places. Here in England my perfect weekend begins at my home in the countryside with my husband and children.
On Saturdays, I get up late, and then I have a bath. I like staying in the country on weekends. I like watching cookery programs on Saturday evening.
On Sundays, I love shopping and gardening. I always buy my clothes from small stores, and I love
visiting garden centers. I love flowers. My homes in Mumbai and England are always full of beautiful white
Lilies(百合花). I don’t cook on Saturday. We prefer eating out and sometimes, if we have time, we go out fora massage(按摩). It’s a great way to end a perfect weekend.
