Source Text1:
I took home a briefcase full of troubles.As I sat down on that hot and humidevening,there seemed to be no solutions to the problems thrashing around in my brain.So I picked up a book,settled into a comfortable chair and applied my own specialtherapy—super-slow reading.
I spent three or four hours on two short chapters of Personal History by VincentSheean —savoring each paragraph,lingering over a sentence,a phrase,or even asingle word,building a detailed mental picture of the scene.No longer was I inSydney,Australia,on a sticky heat-wave night.I lost myself in the author’s world.And when finally I put it down,my mind was totally refreshed.
Next morning,four words from the book —“take the long view”—were still inmy mind.At my desk,I had a long-view look at my problems.Once more,super-slowreading had given me not only pleasure but perspective,and helped me in myeveryday affairs.
I discovered its worth years ago... Previously, if I had been really interested in abook, I would race from page to page, eager to know what came next. Now, I decided, I had to become a miser with words and stretch every sentence like a poor manspending his last dollar. I would read it slowly, analyze it, read it again and then sit for 20 minutes thinking about it before moving on. I was like a pianist studying a piece ofmusic, phrase by phrase, rehearsing it, trying to discover and recreate exactly what the composer was trying to convey.

饮料与人生，有着不可分割的密切关系。
少年多喜欢汽水。它甜，它变化多，少年不识愁滋味，人生的甜酸苦辣，他独独只尝到甜味。世界在他眼中，犹如味道各异的汽水，缤纷多彩。
进入青春期，他工作了，他恋爱了。这时，他的口味已由汽水转向了咖啡，咖啡亦苦亦甜，也香也涩，有一种成熟的刺激感，符合了他复杂多变的心境。这时期，山和水在他眼中，非山亦非水。他有奋斗的野心和理想，他有成家的需要和欲望；但是，事业和爱情，都可能带给他一些小挫折；他有时在笑里流泪，有时却又破涕为笑。他患得患失，却又乐在其中。
中年以后，多爱茶。茶那股若有若无的幽香，是深藏不露的，它恬淡而隽永，沉实而深刻。它绝不肤浅地刺激你的味觉。然而，喝了，缠在舌上的清香，却叫你回味无穷。
