On March 5th, the "Chinese Youth Volunteers' Service Day", our school organized a volunteer activity to serve the elderly in the community.
Volunteers gathered togetherin front ofthe school gate first, then they went to the community on footto serve the old. When they arrived there, they were divided into different groups. Some cleaned the room for the old,whileothers taught the old how to use the smartphone and read the latest news. The rest of the students chatted with the old and played games with them. Before they left the community, they reminded the old to pay attention to their safety and keep warm. As a result, the old thanked them sincerely.
As far as I am concerned, this activity means a lot to us because not only did we gain happiness by helping others but we relieved our stress. I appeal that more and more students are supposed to join in this kind of activity.
