很多初中同学做英语阅读理解时,常常在这类题目上出错:“Which of the following can best describe...?” 要么凭着模糊印象瞎选,要么被几个 “看起来都对” 的选项绕晕,明明读懂了文章,却白白丢分。
这类题目是中考英语阅读推理判断题中的一个重要子类,实质是人物性格/特征分析题,通常考察你是否读懂了作者对人物的描写。
人物分析题的题干特征
常见题干问法,一眼就能认出来:
Which of the following can best describe...?
What kind of person is...?
Which words can best describe...?
变形考法:What can we learn about...?(选项均为性格判断,也属于同一类)
这类人物性格分析题是中考阅读里的高频考点。以河南省近 5 年中考英语真题为例,几乎每年都考。

不过这类题目虽然高频,但并不是很难解决,只要摸透出题逻辑,用对方法,就能稳稳拿分!今天咱们就把这类题的解题套路讲透。
我整理了一份中考阅读高频性格形容词对照表,文末附有领取方法。

3 步解题法,稳稳拿分
不管题目怎么变,都按这三步来,别乱!
第一步:定位原文,找全人物描写依据
别凭感觉!答案全在原文里。先快速扫描全文,把所有和题目人物相关的句子圈出来,重点盯这三类信息:
直接评价:作者或他人直接给的形容词,比如 “she was a creative girl”,这是最直接的依据。
言行描写:人物说了什么、做了什么,就是性格的最好体现。比如 “she spent three hours making a gift for her friend”→对应 “patient(有耐心的)”;“she often helps her classmates with homework”→对应 “helpful(乐于助人的)”。
故事结果:人物的行为带来了什么影响?比如她的做法解决了大家的难题,就能体现她 “wise(聪明的)”。
举个例子:如果题目问 “Grandpa 是什么样的人”,就把所有写爷爷做了什么、说了什么、别人怎么评价他的句子都标出来,别漏了任何一处细节。
第二步:把 “性格词” 翻译成 “具体行为”,一一匹配
很多同学看不懂选项里的形容词,其实可以反过来想:这个词的具体表现是什么?咱们平时可以多积累这种对应关系:
kind(善良的)→帮助他人、为别人着想、原谅他人
wise(有智慧的)→用巧妙的方法解决问题、给出实用建议
hard-working(勤奋的)→不怕辛苦、坚持付出、反复尝试
careful(细心的)→注意细节、避免错误、考虑周全
对照第一步找到的原文行为,哪个词和人物的做法对得上,就先留下哪个选项,不用死记硬背单词。
第三步:排除干扰,选 “最全面、最贴合主旨” 的答案
这一步是关键,很多同学栽在 “两个选项都对,不知道选哪个” 上。先排除这几类坑人的干扰项:
张冠李戴:选项里的词文章里出现过,但说的是另一个人,不是题目问的人物,直接排除!
无中生有:形容词本身没错,但文章里根本没提人物这方面的特点。比如选项说 “brave(勇敢的)”,但全文没写过她面对危险的事,直接排除。
以偏概全:只抓住了一个小细节,却忽略了人物的整体形象。比如她只在一件事上表现出耐心,但全文都在讲她改造旧物的创意,就别选 patient。
最后,要是两个选项都有体现,就选和文章中心思想最贴近的那个!比如:
原文:Mathilde spent hours fixing an old toy. She believed old things could be beautiful again.
选项 A. patient B. creative
两个好像都对?但如果全文都在讲她怎么改造旧物、变废为宝,那 creative 才是最贴合主旨的答案!
最容易踩的坑,快避开!
只看细节,不看整体:别被某一句话带偏,人物的性格要结合全文看,不是某一个动作就能定的。
主观臆断,脱离原文:比如看到一个人救了鸟,就觉得他 “brave”,但原文没写他面对危险的反应,其实只能体现他 kind,别自己 “加戏”!
被陌生词吓到:遇到不认识的形容词,别慌,先排除确定错的选项,剩下的再猜,总比瞎蒙强。
总结
其实这类题一点都不难,说白了就是 “原文找依据→行为配性格→排除干扰选最佳” 这三步。平时做题的时候,别光对答案,养成圈画原文依据的习惯,多练几次,你会发现这类题就是送分题!
