The Spring Equinox
The Spring Equinox is one of the 24 solar terms in China. It usually comes on March 20 or 21 every year. On this day, day and night are equally long.
People have many interesting customs. Some try to stand eggs on end, believing it brings good luck. Farmers also start spring ploughing, hoping for a good harvest. As a Grade 9 student, I see it as a sign of new beginnings. I will make a good study plan and work hard for the high school entrance examination.

Dragon Head Raising Day
Dragon Head Raising Day falls on the second day of the second lunar month. It is a traditional festival to welcome the dragon and pray for good luck.
A popular custom is to get a haircut, which means “cutting off bad luck” and welcoming good fortune. People also eat special food like fried beans. For me, this festival reminds me to take on new challenges. I will keep trying my best in my studies and never give up hope for the senior high school entrance exam.

I believe with persistence and effort, I can achieve my dream in the high school entrance exam, just as Wenchang Dijun encourages us to do.
