  1. 看一遍本文,理解每个句子和单词;

  2. 根据印象,把题做一遍;

  3. 做完对照本文,标出错题;

Dog Training: The Basics

Dog training is a process that requires patience, consistency, and a good understanding of how dogs learn.

Many dog owners underestimate the importance of communication, assuming that dogs will naturally understand human commands.

However, effective communication is the foundation of successful training—dogs respond best to clear signals and consistent feedback.

Professional trainers agree that the first step in training any dog is to establish basic obedience skills.

The most fundamental command is "sit," as it is easy for dogs to learn and provides a starting point for more complex tasks.

When teaching a dog to fetch, trainers often begin with a small, lightweight ball—an object that is easy for dogs to carry and interesting enough to motivate them.

Snacks can be used as rewards, but they should not be the main tool for teaching the action itself.

Another common misconception among dog owners is that training can be completed in a short period of time.

In reality, dogs need repeated practice and positive reinforcement to master new skills, and training should be an ongoing process rather than a one-time event.
