I'm   Adam Gun from Istanbul , Turkey . I'm in a good school . And at the age of   15, in my first year of high school . I'm a great fan of tennis   and cycling . I play tennistwice⁽¹⁾ a week for two hours each   time . Sometimes I want to play more , but I just keep playing for hours on   end , never getting tired of doing it . This is one of the rare things   I love in my life , in addition⁽²⁾ to cycling .

Like  tennis , I find that I'm able to ride for ever and ever . Since   Istanbul is made up of large and small hills⁽³⁾ , it's a nice challenge   to ride my bike every day . Although there aren't many cycling places   in Istanbul , I'm lucky⁽⁴⁾ enough to live near the   biggest park . It's downhill⁽⁵⁾ from my house to the park   and I enjoy cycling up as much as floating⁽⁶⁾ down , because it's challenging⁽⁷⁾ .

Now   I have been thinking about being a lawyer and following my father's footsteps⁽⁸⁾ , but I just don't think I'm into it . I have heard   people tell me over and over again : If you want to be happy with your life ,   you need to like and enjoy your job . Well , I'm not sure about the fact that   I will enjoy being a lawyer when I grow up . I'm just not the type of   person who sits down and studies for hours . Researchers   recently made a survey about how people⁽¹⁹⁾ know   trees in the UK. They showed them pictures of 10 of Britain's most⁽²⁰⁾ popular types of trees . They asked them to name   each . Many British people⁽¹⁹⁾ cannot   give the right answers .

One   in 20 people⁽¹⁹⁾ questioned  could⁽²¹⁾ not name any of the Britain's common trees . Horse   chestnuts and oak are very common in Britain . Britons can see them   everywhere from parks and gardens to the countryside and forests . But five   percent of Britons could⁽²¹⁾ not   name the two trees .

While   older people⁽¹⁹⁾ are  more⁽²²⁾ likely than younger adults to name Britain's local   trees , the knowledge is⁽²³⁾ not   being passed down .

Over   70% of parents say⁽²⁴⁾ they   have never taught⁽²⁵⁾ their   children the names of trees nor asked them about what they may have learnt at   school or elsewhere . " It is⁽²³⁾ very  disappointing⁽²⁶⁾ to   learn that people⁽¹⁹⁾ know   very little about British trees ," said⁽²⁴⁾ one   of the researchers .
