很多同学分不清这几个带 fall 的短语，中考单选、完形经常考！
✅ fall down
含义：摔倒；（物体）倒塌、掉下来
👉 侧重：垂直向下掉落、滑倒
例句：The boy fell down on the ice.
男孩在冰面上滑倒了。
✅ fall over
含义：绊倒；翻倒
👉 侧重：被某物绊到，重心侧翻
例句：He fell over a big stone.
他被一块大石头绊倒了。
💡 易错对比：
fall down 是自己滑倒、东西往下掉；
fall over 多是被别的东西绊倒、侧翻。
✅ fall back
含义：后退，撤退
👉 和摔倒无关！
拓展短语：fall back on 依靠，求助于
例句：The crowd fell back to let the ambulance pass.
人群向后退，让救护车通过。
✅ fall behind
含义：落后，跟不上（学习、比赛进度）
👉 高频考点！和摔倒完全无关
例句：Study hard, or you will fall behind others.
