1.开头
对于介绍（告知信），我们一般是基于对方的喜好或是请求，来进行答复性的介绍。因此，在开头一定要交代写信缘由和写作目的，从而体现应用文的交际性。
“缘由+目的”的结构是比较明确的，因此在结构上没有太多的设计空间，所以我们可以在表达上琢磨。
一般我们会想到“I know that / have learnt about……，so I am writing to ……”这样主谓开头的简单句，但这样前后出现了两次“I am”，冗长，语序缺乏设计感。因此，我们可以考虑将这个状语从句简化一下：
Knowing / Having learnt that……，I am writing to introduce……to you.
这样修改后的句子仅保留了一套主谓语、以过去分词非谓语开头，避免开头一成不变的主谓语序，体现了对非谓语的主动运用、对状语从句的灵活变换，以此让句子升级。
基于我们得到的这个句子，还可以做什么优化呢？
首先看到缘由板块。根据“Knowing that”，我们可以仿写出“非谓语+that+从句”，比如：
Having learnt that / Hearing that / Feeling that
进一步，还有“非谓语+介词”结构，但后面跟的不是完整句。
Fascinated by / Hearing about / Owing to（因为）/ feeling about
其次看到目的板块。这类体裁的目的是介绍，那么我们可以多样化地表示“介绍”。

Inform you 通知你（较为正式）
Recommend（建议）
最后，我们填充上血肉。依然可以用上更高级的表达。

(1)事件概述（时间+主办方+目的，顺序可调换）

注意，推荐使用被动语态，也就是“活动被谁举办”，而非“谁举办了活动”，这样可以提高语言的客观性。
我们可以提炼模版：
In the spirit of motivating/ In the desperate attempt tomotivate ……，a selection of （活动）were launched /held /hosted / spearheaded /conductedby ……
(2)活动规模与主要内容
对于活动的组织形式的介绍，这有点像报道的感觉，所以我们可以按报道的形式来写。报道最核心的特征就是客观性，如何体现呢——就要用到无灵主语和被动语态。比如：
「无灵主语」活动规模：活动吸引了多少人参与（主语：事件）（宾语：人）
Participating in this activity were energetic students from every class who……
活动环节：可以和活动意义结合成一个复合句，见下面。
（3）利用定语从句、非谓语动词来写活动的影响。
