①Yes, new technology has been eating jobs forever, and always will. ②But there’s been an acceleration. ③As Davidson notes, “In the 10 years ending in 2009, [U.S.] factories shed workers so fast that they erased almost all the gains of the previous 70 years; roughly one out of every three manufacturing jobs — about 6 million in total — disappeared.”的确如此，新技术一直就在吞噬我们的工作，将来还会继续吞噬。而且速度在加快。正如戴维森所言，“2009年之前的十年内（1999—2009），美国工厂裁撤工人速度之快，其数量基本等于过去70年（1929—1999）的工人数量；大概每三个工作岗位就有一个岗位消失了，总共约有600万之多。”
①Yes, new technology has been eating jobs forever, and always will.的确如此，新技术一直就在吞噬我们的工作，将来还会继续吞噬。
new Technology指“cheap foreign labor,cheap robotics, cheap software,cheap automation and cheap genius.”这些东西。
这是两个句子，后面一个是：new technology has been eating jobs forever, and new technology always will eat jobs，就是将来还会的意思。
eat job就是吞噬工作的意思，就是取代工作的意思。
②But there’s been an acceleration.而且速度在加快。
accelerate vt. 加速；使加速。—— acceleration n. 加速
【逻辑梳理】这里是说，机器吞噬工作的速度在加快。
③As Davidson notes, “In the 10 years ending in 2009, [U.S.] factories shed workers so fast that they erased almost all the gains of the previous 70 years; roughly one out of every three manufacturing jobs — about 6 million in total — disappeared.”正如戴维森所言，“2009年之前的十年内（1999—2009），美国工厂裁撤工人速度之快，其数量基本等于过去70年（1929—1999）的工人数量；大概每三个工作岗位就有一个岗位消失了，总共约有600万之多。”
as部分一般而言应该看作是非限定性定语从句，as指代整个句子。但是，这里如果看成是非限定性定语从句的话，这就不是一个句子了，所以，这里将as理解为连词

双引号部分是直接引语，就是戴维森说的原话：
“In the 10 years ending in 2009, [U.S.] factories shed workersso fast that they erased almost all the gains of the previous 70 years; roughly one out of every three manufacturing jobs — about 6 million in total — disappeared.”
in部分是时间状语
这是两个句子，用分号连接的
① [U.S.] factories shed workersso fast that they erased almost all the gains of the previous 70 years
shed vt. 去除；裁员
erase vt. 清楚；擦除；消除
这里有so...that...引导结果状语从句：they erased almost all the gains of the previous 70 years
gains指代的就是workers，就是几乎过去70年招来的工人都被裁员了，就是这么多人都丢了工作。
② roughly one out of every three manufacturing jobs — about 6 million in total — disappeared.”
roughly adv. 大约；大概
one out of every three manufacturing jobs，直译叫做：每三个制造业工作中就有一个工作，就是1/3的制造业工作没有了。
manufacturing n. 制造业
破折号部分是具体说明，总共加起来，有600万左右。
disappear vi. 消失。
总结：第四段是说，新的技术导致大量的人失业，人们丢掉了工作。
