There is no doubt that salary plays an important role in motivating workers. A competitive income allows people to meet their basic needs, maintain a comfortable lifestyle and feel that their efforts are being fairly rewarded. In addition, financial incentives such as bonuses and pay rises can encourage employees to work harder and achieve specific targets. For example, a salesperson may be more willing to exceed their monthly target if doing so results in a substantial bonus. Therefore, money can be a powerful short-term incentive.——4层(5句）

For instance, an employee who is given greater responsibility and recognised for their achievements may remain highly motivated even without receiving a large pay increase.
