My Three Best Qualities

Everyone has their own strengths. In my opinion, I have three good qualities that make me who I am.

First, I am hard-working. I always try my best in my studies. For example, I get up early every morning to read English aloud. When I meet difficult math problems, I never give up easily. Instead, I keep thinking and ask my teacher for help until I work them out. This helps me make steady progress in my subjects.

Second, I am helpful. I enjoy giving a hand to others when they are in need. Last term, my deskmate Li Ming had trouble with physics. I explained the difficult points to him patiently after class. With my help, he improved a lot and even passed the final exam. Seeing his happy smile made me feel proud of myself.

Third, I am optimistic. I always look on the bright side of life. When I fail in a test, I don't feel sad for too long. Instead, I tell myself, "It's OK. I can do better next time." I believe that every failure is a chance to learn. My positive attitude also cheers up my friends when they feel upset.

These three qualities — hard-working, helpful, and optimistic — make me a better person. I hope to keep them forever and become a student who can bring positive energy to others.
