2答案:D后文关键句“He chose to let the wood dry for a month(他将木材晾晒一个月)”,可直接推断木材是潮湿的。wet 表示“潮湿的”,符合语境。hard(坚硬的)、light(轻便的)、soft(柔软的)均和“晾晒木材”的行为无逻辑关联。
3答案:D固定搭配cause problems意为“引发问题、造成麻烦”。根据常识,湿木材制作的家具后期会变形、开裂,出现各类质量问题。fire(火灾)、illness(疾病)、pollution(污染)均不符合家具制作场景。

8答案:C 木匠完成工作后,会收取雇主支付的劳动报酬,也就是工钱,之后返乡。money(钱、工钱)符合生活逻辑。food(食物)、furniture(制作的家具)、wood(原材料)均不属于劳动报酬。

There were few visitors on that side, and it looked quiet and lonely. Most classmates3chose the easy road without much thought. But my friend Lily and I4each other and picked the hard one.

On the way, we saw special flowers growing between the stones and7birds singing in the branches above—things the other group didn’t8because they were walking too fast on the easy road.
When we finally got to the top, we were the9 ones there! A cool wind blew against our hot faces. The view was amazing—we could see the whole village10, and the sky seemed so close. We felt so proud of what we had done. Soon, the others arrived, looking11 to see us already sitting there.
