Mount Changbai was once an active volcano. Around 1,000 years ago, the volcano experienced a very strong eruption(喷发).

First, hot magma 岩浆built up inside the volcano and then came out. This left the inside of the mountain empty空的. Because there was nothing to hold it up, the top of the mountain fell down and formed a large opening called a crater. Slowly, rainwater, melted snow, and underground spring water filled this crater.

Because there is no large river flowing流动 out of it, the water collected over time, and the crater finally turned into the lake we see today.

The area around Tianchi is very cold. Snow can fall even in summer, and the lake is frozen for eight months each year, starting between the end of October and early December.

Fog and clouds often cover the lake, so people cannot always see it clearly. This makes the lake feel even more amazing!

John is facing some problems. He is trying to ask deepseek, an AI robot, for help.

Hi, deepseek! Could I have a talk with you?

Of course! I'm here to help you. What's wrong?

I feel lonely at school. And I have difficulty sleeping at night, which worries me a lot. Also, I get angry easily when things don't go as I hoped. What should I do?

I'm really glad you shared how you're feeling and asked me for help. That takes courage. You don't need to feel so worried about them. Many students have such problems. Here are some suggestions.

1. About feeling lonely at school

You can make friends at school and try small things first.

Say "hi" to your classmates when you meet them.

Ask your classmates for help when you have problems in studies.

Join a club. It can help you make friends easily.

2. About feeling worried because of having problems sleeping

Stop using your phone or computer 30 minutes before bed.

Read a book or listen to soft music.

If you can't fall asleep, don't worry. Get up, sit quietly, and go back to bed when you feel sleepy.

Write down what you are thinking about. Then tell yourself "I will think about this tomorrow."

3. About getting angry easily when things go wrong

This often happens when you are tired or sad. Try these ways:

When you feel angry, stop and take a deep breath.

Say to yourself, "I am not really angry. I am just disappointed. That's okay."

If you say something hurtful to someone, say sorry first. You can say, "I'm sorry. I didn't sleep well last night. It was my fault."

OK, I'll take your advice. Thank you, deepseek!

You're welcome. Good luck, and I hope everything gets better soon!

It's a common experience for many people. Depending on how people travel, it can be called carsickness or seasickness. People with motion sickness feel very uncomfortable while they are in motion. They feel sick and dizzy, as if the room around them keep spinning.   Motion sickness happens when our senses become confused with each other. We use different parts of our body to sense movement. Our eyes tell us if we are moving. Our ears have something special inside that helps us sense direction and balance. Our muscles react to movement. When we move around, these body parts work well together. But when we're in a car or plane, they get confused. Our inner ears tell us that we're moving, but our eyes say we're sitting still because we can't see that we're moving. This mismatch gives us motion sickness.     About 30% people get motion sickness. Women and children aged two to twelve are most at risk. Some people may even experience motion sickness in some conditions, such as reading in motion and watching 3D movies.       Although there are many ways to deal with motion sickness, scientists believe that the key is simply trying to adapt to it. For example, some astronauts do special exercises that give them mild motion sickness. After about a week, the astronauts become used to it and don't feel uncomfortable anymore, according to a flight doctor.( )56. What's the function of the first paragraph?A. To show that motion sickness is common

B. To introduce the topic of motion sickness.

C. To show the connection between weather and motion sickness.( )57. What does Paragraph 3 mainly talk about?A. How motion sickness happens.

B. How our body senses movements.

C. How our body parts work together.( )58. Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage?A. There are two kinds of motion sickness. B. Most women and children have motion sickness.

C. Reading in a running car may cause motion sickness.( )59. Which of the following does the writer probably agree?A. It's difficult to solve motion sickness.
