用a还是one呢？

当那辆卡车撞到那辆公交车时，只有1名乘客受了伤。
Would you like acup of coffee or tea?
你想要一杯咖啡还是茶?
如果数量不重要，就用a/an；如果要强调数量，就用one。only one passenger强调数量；a cup of coffee强调某一类物品中任意一个。
用a lot of还是a great deal of呢？

a great deal of 意为“大量的”,修饰不可数名词。
a lot of 也意为“大量的”，既可以修饰不可数名词，也可以修饰可数复数名词。

① much 只能用在不可数名词前面。many 只能用在可数复数名词前面。
② a lot of/lots of/plenty of 即可以用在不可数名词前面，也可以用在可数复数名词前面。
much traffic 拥挤的通........many cars 许多小汽车
a lot of traffic 拥挤的交通.......a lot of cars许多小汽车
