These seven dogs were all from the same village. Every day, they ran and played together like a group of close friends. One day, they were playing outside when they were stolen by dog thieves and put into a truck. Instead of losing hope, they stuck together.
While the truck was speeding down the highway, the dogs broke out of their cage and jumped off. Instead of running in different directions, they stayed as a team. They started walking along the road, trying to find their way home.
The trip was far from easy. The road was busy with cars, and one of the German Shepherds got hurt when he jumped. He could not walk fast, but his friends refused to leave him. They slowed down their steps, with the bigger dogs walking on the outside to keep him safe, and the smaller ones staying close to his side. When they grew tired, they rested together, leaning on each other for strength.
A driver noticed the group of dogs on the road on March 16. He took a video and shared it online. Soon, many people saw it and wanted to help. Volunteers from a local animal group worked with villagers to search for them, even using drones to cover more ground. On March 18, all seven dogs were found safe. Five of them were back with their owners, and the other two found new, loving homes.
