什么是表语从句
表语从句是指在复合句中充当表语的从句。表语位于系动词之后，说明主语的身份、特征或状态。
结构：主语 + 系动词 + 表语从句
例子：
The truth is that he lied. (事实是他撒谎了。)
That is why I came. (那就是我为什么来的原因。)
核心特征：表语从句位于系动词（be, seem, look, remain, appear等）之后，对主语进行补充说明。

that陈述事实，无意义，不能省略My opinion is that he is right.
whether表示“是否”，不用if. The question is whether he will come.
what表示“所……的事情/东西”This is what I want.
who表示“谁”That is who I am.
when/where/why/how表示时间/地点/原因/方式That is why I left.
注意：表语从句中，that 不能省略（与宾语从句不同）；表示“是否”只能用 whether，不能用 if。
五大考点
考点1：that 引导的表语从句
that 引导表语从句时，只起连接作用，无词义，在从句中不作任何成分，不能省略。
My decision is that we should start at once. (我的决定是我们应该立即出发。)
The fact is that he has never been there. (事实是他从未去过那里。)
考点2：whether 引导的表语从句
表语从句中表示“是否”时，只能用 whether，不能用 if。
The question is whether we can finish the work on time. (问题是我们能否按时完成工作。)
❌ The question is if we can finish the work on time.
考点3：what 引导的表语从句
what 在表语从句中充当主语、宾语或表语，表示“所……的事情/东西”。
This is what I need. (这就是我所需要的。——what 作 need 的宾语)
That is what he wants. (那就是他想要的。——what 作 wants 的宾语)
考点4：because 与 that 的区别
当主语是 reason 时，表语从句用 that 引导，不能用 because。
错误用法
❌ The reason why he was late was because he missed the bus.
正确用法
✅ The reason why he was late was that he missed the bus.
记忆口诀：reason 作主语，表语用 that 不用 because。
考点5：why 引导的表语从句
why 引导表语从句时，表示“……的原因”。
That is why he was angry. (那就是他生气的原因。)
This is why I came here. (这就是我来这里的原因。)
常见结构对比：
That's why... (那就是……的原因) —— 强调结果
That's because... (那是因为……) —— 强调原因
He was late. That's why I got angry. (他迟到了。那就是我生气的原因。——强调结果)
I got angry. That's because he was late. (我生气了。那是因为他迟到了。——强调原因)
