A Vanishing Skill
In my grandfather's time, every household could repair things.

Today, we replace.

When my watch stopped, my first thought was to buy a new one.

But Grandfather took it, fetched his old toolkit.

"Everything deserves a second chance," he said.

For two hours, I watched him work.
