I met Gunter on a cold, wet and unforgettable evening in September. I had planned to fly to Vienna and take a bus to Prague for a conference. Due to a big storm, my flight had been delayed by an hour and a half. I touched down in Vienna just 30 minutes before the departure of the last bus to Prague. The moment I got off the plane, I ran like crazy through the airport building and jumped into the first taxi on the rank without a second thought.
That was when I met Gunter. I told him where I was going, but he said he hadn't heard of the bus station. I thought my pronunciation was the problem, so I explained again more slowly, but he still looked confused. When I was about to give up, Gunter fished out his little phone and rang up a friend. After a heated discussion that lasted for what seemed like a century, Gunter put his phone down and started the car.
Finally, with just two minutes to spare we rolled into the bus station. Thankfully, there was a long queue (队列) still waiting to board the bus. Gunter parked the taxi behind the bus, turned around, and looked at me with a big smile on his face. "We made it," he said.
Just then I realised that I had zero cash in my wallet. I flashed him an apologetic smile as I pulled out my Portuguese bankcard. He tried it several times, but the card machine just did not play along. A feeling of helplessness washed over me as I saw the bus queue thinning out.
At this moment, Gunter pointed towards the waiting hall of the bus station. There, at the entrance, was a cash machine. I jumped out of the car, made a mad run for the machine, and popped my card in, only to read the message: "Out of order. Sorry."

1.Gunter
I ran back to Gunter and told him the bad news.
Much to my surprise, he urged me to get on the bus instead of getting angry or disappointed, adding that I didn’t have to pay him for the ride for it was the machines’ fault but not mine, with a broad smile on his face.
A feeling of relief surged through my whole body.(模仿原文语言特色,但不能抄袭,稍微做一下改动) Before boarding the bus ,I asked Gunter for his phone number, ensuring that I was bound to pay him after returning to Vienna.
Hardly had I sat on the bus when it started to move. Instantly, an intense wave of relief and gratitude surrounded melike a beam of sunlight, throwing me into a sense of kindness and warmth.

A few minutes later, when Gunter got out of his car and approached me, I rushed to him and gave him a bear hug, conveying my sincere appreciation to him. Then I gave him the money along with a small gift. I gratefully informed him that it was with his assistance that I didn’t miss my important conference. It turned out to be a turning point in my successful future career life. Hearing what I said, Guter responded to me by flashing me a celebrating smile.Never before had I got such a unique experience, which was deeply engraved(雕刻) in my mind and had a profound influence on me in the rest of my life. A small act of kindness could make a great difference to others.
I ran back to Gunter and told him the bad news. He looked at me in disbelief, asking me what to do. Giving him another apologetic smile (呼应原文), I asked him for a delay in payment and promised to call him and pay him back the money I owed him (有效衔接第二段首句信息). To my surprise, Gunter wrote down his phone number without hesitation and gave it to me. “Just keep your promise, Sir.” A feeling of gratitude washed over me (无灵主语句,生动形象). I gave him a firm handshake, jumped out of the car and made a mad dash for the bus and jumped onto it just before it left
Four days later, when I was back in Vienna, I called Gunter as promised. We met at the bus station where he had dropped me off four days before (和原文形成有效衔接). As soon as I saw him, I gave him a big hug. I told him that thanks to his kindness and timely help, everything had gone smoothly I paid him for the ride, along with a generous tip, which he declined. I felt blessed to have met such a warm-hearted man. After that, we became good friends and kept in touch with each other regularly
Paragraph 1: I ran back to Gunter and told him the bad news. His face showed a hint of concern, but he quickly nodded in understanding.(合理的情绪:Gunter 有一些担心,但却表示理解)“Don’t worry,” he said calmly. “You can pay me back later.” (适当而且必要的对话描写)I was surprised by his kindness and insisted on getting his contact information. Gunter wrote down his number and handed it to me.(要司机的手机号才能和第二段首句合理衔接)“Promise you’ll call me when you’re back.” he said with a smile. I thanked him and hurried out. As I boarded the bus just in time, I waved goodbye to Gunter, who was standing by his taxi, feeling a mix of relief and gratitude.(合理的情绪:如释重负、心怀感激)
Paragraph 2: Four days later, when I was back in Vienna, I called Gunter as promised. He answered the phone cheerfully. We arranged to meet at a café near the Vienna airport.(合理的地点:作者出差开会结束,原路返程)When we met, I handed him the cash I owed along with a small token of appreciation – a local delicacy from Prague.(合理的内容创设:一个感谢小礼物)“This is to thank you for your help,” I said, smiling. Gunter accepted the gift with a warm grin, and we spent the next hour talking about our lives and travels. Through this encounter, I not only attended my conference but also gained a new friend. Gunter’s kindness left a lasting impact, reminding me of goodness in unexpected places.
