Dangerous Pickled Chicken Feet
On March 15, 2026, CCTV exposed a serious food safety problem about pickled chicken feet. Some factories used industrial hydrogen peroxide (双氧水) to make chicken feet look white and clean. This chemical is not allowed in food processing.
The working conditions were very dirty. Chicken feet were put on the dirty floor. Workers did not have health certificates. The bad chemical can hurt people’s mouth, stomach and even damage liver and kidneys.
After the exposure, officials checked the factories at once. They seized the bad products and punished the factories. People are warned not to buy too-white chicken feet.
